  • Mr. Williamson has earned a reputation as one of the top insolvency and restructuring practitioners in the Southeast. He specializes in business workouts and reorganizations, both in and out of bankruptcy court, and litigation of issues concerning creditor and debtor rights.
  • During his lengthy career, Mr. Williamson has advised and represented a wide variety of parties, including debtor companies, asset purchasers, trustees, secured and unsecured creditors, equity holders, official committees, and litigants in state and federal court.
  • Mr. Williamson (and the firm) has served as local and/or conflicts counsel in connection with a number of significant Chapter 11 cases and other proceedings in federal and state courts.
  • Mr. Williamson has been the president and managing shareholder of Scroggins, Williamson & Ray, P.C. (and its predecessor, Scroggins & Williamson) since the firm’s formation in 1993. Prior to that time, he practiced with the law firms of King & Spalding in Atlanta and Stichter, Riedel, Blain & Prosser in Tampa, Florida.
